TRAINER FAMILIARISATION COURSE

• Healthcare Fire Safety Video covering a variety of fire situations relevant to healthcare settings and the home environment..
• Computer CD containing Presentation, Handouts and Certificate Masters

This is the ideal package for senior staff in residential care / nursing homes and those providing care in the community who may be called upon to deliver fire awareness training to management and employees.

On completion of the course participants will be able to:

• State their obligations with regard to fire safety
• State the actions to be taken in the event of a fire occurring within their working environment
• Identify the correct fire extinguisher for use on a range of different types of fire
• State how fires occur and spread, and how they can reduce the risk of fire occurring
• Understand the consequences of a fire in their home and how they may reduce the threat.

Our tutors will take participants through the training package stage by stage, answering any questions they may have at the end of each section.  HSS Healthcare Fire Safety Trainers Package handouts can be photocopied to provide your own staff with their course material.
